Q & A

My thoughts

What is Find Curiosity?

A free weekly newsletter where a real person (mostly me at the start, but hopefully a new person every week as it grows) shares something they've fallen down a rabbit hole about. You get that one thread four ways: something to learn, something to do, something to watch, and something to talk about.

Why are you building it now?

Social media is changing in a way I'm not excited about. The internet is increasingly full of bots and AI-generated filler, and much of it exists to keep you scrolling or sell you something. It's engaging the way a slot machine is engaging.

I rarely come away more interesting. Find Curiosity is the opposite: a way to find interesting people, learn interesting things, and do interesting things.

Who is it for?

People who like learning and trying new things. The "side quest" crowd.

What will I get out of reading it?

My hope is that after a year, I will and you'll will ask better questions. Most people have something unique they're into or doing, and the best way to get to know them is to get curious about what they're curious about.

Where is this going?

My goal is a real community of people who share what they're doing and cheer each other on, a bit like the Lunar Society or Ben Franklin's Junto club. I don't know exactly how it gets there, so I’m building this with y’all.

Is there anything I can do right now?
